A high quality medium grain rice that is mainly grown in Tamilnadu (Kurnool), Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. It is tender, non-sticky, delicate and aromatic and goes perfectly with South Indian and Sri Lankan dishes. Suitable for all curries (both vegetarian and with meat or seafood), tamarind rice and tomato rice. Other popular dishes made with this variety of rice are Rice and Rasam and Rice and Sambar.
