Rice Flour is made from finely milled rice. Rice Flour maybe made either from white rice or brown rice. To make the flour, the husk or paddy is removed and raw rice obtained. The raw rice is then ground to form rice flour, also known as rice powder. In south India, rice flour is used to make the extremely popular dish known as Dosa. Generally rice flour has a diverse use in many types of cooking and cuisines. For people with gluten intolerance, rice flour is a particularly good substitue for wheat based flours.
